18.08. Pierwsze zmiany tras w związku z przebudową dworca w Katowicach

Od 15 sierpnia 2010 r. KZK GOP wprowadził pierwsze zmian tras linii autobusowych, związane z przebudową dworca PKP w Katowicach. Zmieniono trasę linii 600 oraz uruchomiono kursowanie linii 900. Już wcześniej zaczęły funkcjonować niektóre nowe przystanki.

Zbliża się do końca remont ul. Świętochłowickiej i Łagiewnickiej w Bytomiu. 15 sierpnia 2010 r. autobusy mają wrócić na swoje stałe trasy. Najprawdopodobniej od 21 sierpnia przywrócone zostanie zawracanie tramwajów na trójkącie torowym w Łagiewnikach. Podsumowujemy trwający rok remont dróg i póki co dwuletnią przerwę w kursowaniu tramwajów w Łagiewnikach.

Pierwszy raz od 12 lat przez nasz region przejechał wyścig kolarski Tour de Pologne. Po 57 latach przerwy gościł w Katowicach. W wyścigu bierze udział 228 zawodników z 23 ekip. Organizacja wyścigu, a szczególnie startu i mety etapu to atrakcyjna i relatywnie tania forma promocji dla miast, wiąże się to jednak z utrudnieniami w codziennym życiu dla mieszkańców. Największe zakłócenia występują oczywiście w ruchu drogowym, a także na liniach komunikacji miejskiej.
